The place is decent and in line with the nightly rates. The low rating is due to a very unpleasant incident that happened to us. We woke up in the middle of the night because the bedroom light was flickering on and off. Once awake, we realized that our room was almost completely flooded. We called the emergency number, and a very kind staff member...

“Korte's Resort is a wonderful place where we just spent one night on the road to Bundaberg. The room are spacious and clean and the hotel restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food they serve is awesome and the staff is kindly and helpful. one plus is the free parking just in the front of your room and you can meet some kangaroo late in the afternoon or early in the morning, just behind the hotel ”

“Nice room, comfortable beds and pillows, great breakfast. The hotel parking was often full but fortunately you have enough free parking spots along the street close to the hotel. Quite far from the center of Cairns (25 min walking), but not too far from the airport (8 min by car). No express check-out procedure, Receptionists not that empathetic.”
